Consultation - Examination - X-Ray
We’ll discuss your symptoms, medical history and how your condition affects daily life, helping us understand your concerns and goals.
01 — Initial Consultation
We’ll assess your posture, spinal movement and joint function, using orthopaedic and neurological tests where appropriate.
02 — Chiropractic Examination
Where clinically indicated, we may take X-rays to help assess your condition and provide further information about your condition.
03 - Digital X-rays
Your Chiropractor will then review your x-rays and examination findings to formulate a diagnosis and a personalised treatment plan, ready for you next appointment.

Your chiropractor will explain the results of your examination and any X-rays, discuss your diagnosis and answer your questions.
04 — Report of Findings
We’ll recommend a personalised treatment plan where appropriate, explaining the proposed care and what you can expect.
You’ll then be able to make an informed decision about starting treatment.
05 — Your Treatment Plan
Once you’re happy with your treatment plan, we’ll begin your Chiropractic care, using techniques tailored to your individual needs.

Your first appointment at The Optimum Spine Centre in Leigh-on-Sea includes a consultation to discuss your symptoms, medical history and health concerns, followed by a thorough chiropractic examination. Digital spinal X-rays may also be taken where clinically indicated.

Your first appointment focuses on understanding your condition. Treatment normally begins at your second visit, once we’ve explained our findings and agreed on a personalised treatment plan.

Not everyone requires X-rays. At The Optimum Spine Centre, we have on-site digital X-ray facilities and only recommend imaging when clinically indicated, based on your medical history and examination findings.

We’ll explain your examination findings, review any X-rays and discuss your diagnosis and recommended treatment plan. If chiropractic care is appropriate and you’re happy to proceed, you’ll normally receive your first treatment during this appointment.

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. Please bring any relevant X-ray or MRI reports, along with details of your current medication and medical history.
